who goes on the interview

Someone mention that in an U.S parent/stepparent doen't have to go in on the interview with the adult Son/Daughter that they have sponsored, is this true.

On my letter it didn't state if my father had to join me on the interview or not. Does anyone know the answer to this.

Just to be on a safe side if possible I would take you father at the interview. You never know what they might ask you for. Good Luck

Interview letter is address to the beneficiary and not to petitioners, if you want to take your father you will have to tell them that your father will be with you due to some sitting space.
But they will ask you all the questions not your father, so you should know all the facts of your case.

I take it that you haven't gone to the interview yet. We're in the same boat and I just got my interview letter. My step-dad (who is a USC) is my sponsor and on my letter, it says that he has to come to the interview. I would take your stepparent with you. It's better to be safe than sorry. Let me know what they ask you at the interview. Good Luck!
