Grace period after Visa expires

My friend applied for B2 visa from H, but it was denied. He has to go back. In general, how many days of grace period is provided before leaving the country? According to him, there were no certain days instructed. He also has lots of things to clear before leaving.

for F-1 visa - 60. For H1 - as far as I know - none.

Thanks for the reply. But this guy is denied for B2 visa, not for F1. Is that same?

For F1 after practical training expiration you have 90 days....

90 days after OPT? Aren't you still on F-1 visa, therefore, subject to 60 day grace period?

I guess his case is different. He got a bachelor and used up Practical Training. He got a job and issued H1-B. Then, he lost a job, and applied for B2. But it was denied. Please someone, how many day can he have before leaving?

aupair, none. He is out of status since his previous status expired.

bronzelady is right -- in his case it's none.

and it's 60 days on F-1 visa, whether you're on opt or just studying.

OK, no grace period is granted to him. He should leave the country smoothly. But all knows we cannnot leave soon the day after next days. Does the Immigration forgive him if he try to get another Visa in his country and come back to the U.S. after he stayed in the U.S. one month after the notice?
