Hi!
I'am married to a very abusive men. After the second time He physically abused me, I moved to a friend's house. We were married for one year and I got my Temporay Green Card about six months ago. I never filled a complaint against him because I was affraid of his reaction when he found out about it. We were together for three years before our marriage but started living together only a few months before we got married. In the beginning we had no problems, except eventual arguments, but after a few months living together, he became very agressive. If anything didn't go his way, he'd scream at me, threatens to throw me out of a car(if we are driving),calls me names,and a couple times became physically agressive. I felt so humiliated so many times and now I won't put up with him anymore.I fear the fact that I will be divorced by the time of my second interview (to get the permanent green card) but I'll take my chances. I'd like any advise on this matter. Has anyone being in this situation before? Please Help!! Thank you!!!

You may apply for residency under a battered spouse clause. You will need Police Reports, Medical Reports, psychiatric reports, and some other stuff. If I were you I'll talk to an attorney. Many have free consultation. Listen to what they suggest. Also try to get witnesses. I am sorry to hear that you are living in hell, and to see that this kind of stuff still takes place in America. Maybe other members will have more suggestions.

If you have evidence that the marriage is genuine and that it was not entered into solely for immigration benefit, if you divorce while in conditional status, you can file a waiver of the I751 to petition to remove the conditions as soon as the divorce is final.

Applied for citizenship in jan 2005 Fingerprint on Feb 2005 and passed interview and exams on march 2005.No oath date yet.No response from UCIS
8 months after interview?
What should i do?
I filed at TSC -DO san antonio.
