The applicant has not been granted lawful permanent residence yet. There are no guarantees he/she will be granted the status during the interview.

Thanks, I understand there are no guarantees. I was wondering whether there are any extenuating circumstances where the petitioner could be deemed in lawful status mode when the UCIS rejects a petition to adjust status b/c it deemed the petitioner to be in an unlawful status during the time the petitioner was waiting for an interview...Comment
