Hello, What happens if you extend your B1 visa and then choose to get married to a USC?? Can you do that while you are waiting for the papers to be processed? Can you do that once you have received the extension??

You can apply anytime. You should do it as i write to you now. It is better not to wait until your visa expires, plus an extension usually takes up to 3 months to process.
