  • Curious question about marriage in the USA

    Hi:
I have a friend who lives in Sweden, he will go to the USA to get married, they will honeymoon in USA, and then go back to Sweden to settle there. Is there any chance he will be denied entry to the USA because he is going there to get married??

Is the person he's marrying a US citizen/permanent resident? If not, then there should be no problem at all, it happens a lot. If he is marrying a US citizen, they should take evidence to show they are intending to return and live in Sweden e.g. proof of job, housing etc.

If the person he is marrying is a US citizen or resident, it might be best to get the fiance visa. If the other person is a Swede too, or a citizen of another country, there shouldn't be a problem.
        Have a nice day
