    That reminded me of the case of the LaGrand case in 1999. The LaGrand brothers both Germans were executed here in the US. Not only were they also not notified of the possibility to contact the German Consulate, the issue caused widespread condemnation because Germany doesn't have and is very much against the death penalty. I think the US ended up paying damages for this.

      Mexico kills more of it's own Nationals, including the extra-judicially killings, than all the death-row inmates in the US combined.
      How hypocritical of them to protest the death of one of their Citizen ,who on top of all appears to have raped and murdered an underage girl.

      He wasn't deprived of a due process under the law, an access to a lawyer in a court of law, and most likely was made aware of the Miranda, so what on earth would an access to the consulate officials change? Why should the US end up paying damages for this?
