I know some people are not as well served as other in the tangling web of rules and forms known as US Immigration. Others are simply reluctant to share information. But to provide the best answer, its always best to give out as much accurate information as possible. For instance, if you're an USC, depend on how the spouse enter (illegaly, legally) there're different way to handle it. Even those are divided into more conditions, eg: if its illegals, did she overstayed or just cross the border, and so on.
