          From Wikipedia on the KKK

"The first Klan was founded in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee by veterans of the Confederate Army.(note - all Democrats) Although it never had an organizational structure above the local level, similar groups across the South adopted the name and methods. Klan groups spread throughout the South as an insurgent movement after the war. As a secret vigilante group, the Klan reacted against Radical Republican control of Reconstruction by attempting to restore white supremacy by threats and violence, including murder, against black and white Republicans."

Maybe but it's always been a fringe organisation and supposedly religious! The Republican Party of Lincoln is long gone replaced by Reaganism and the Bush/Cheney/Sharron Angle/Michele Batsh-it crazy doctrine.

The Nixon Southern Strategy changed the fortunes for the Repubs in the South. Of course, Tricky Dic-kie got the info from the Dems by illegally wiretapping the Democrat HQ.

              Dear Senator Ehigie Edobor Uzamere,

you are a Great Senator and deserve our highest honors and commendations, on this board and elsewhere.

Please forward my warm and sinsere reverence to Mr. Goodluck Jonathan and Mr. Namadi Sambo.
What a s.exy bangable wife Mr Goodluck Jonathan has; leggy Faka Jonathan demonstrates that after all not all Negroes are as ugly as we thought, Senator !!!

The tireless efforts of Mr. Goodluck Jonathan and Mr. Namadi Sambo to better the lives of Nigerians never go unnoticed here and thousands of taxicab drivers in NYC can testify to validity of my statement. Thank you for a great job done, Senator !!!

I really think we should get together and do some business, Senator, as some disobedient Negroes from Nigeria seem to be acting against our mutual interests and i am sure we could devise some great plan to be away with them for good.
A few Nigerian dogs would go long way to help us accomplish this brilliant goal !!!

It is with great sense of appreciation that i notice a good Nigerian dog you have unleashed here (whose name we both know but will keep secret out of cordiality).
But we need more dogs here, Senator, and much more ferociuous ones !!!

Please send me PM, Senator, as we need to talk on this matter sooner than latter !!!

Again, my sinsere and highest regards to Great and Prosperous People of Nigeria who are lucky to be represented by such brilliant and illustrous individuals as yourself, Goodluck Jonathan and Namadi Sambo.

Long live friendship of Senator Ehighie Edobor Uzamere and OldE !!!

              Nigeria and ILW forever !!!

              Hurray !!! Hurray !!!

I haven't had time to go through the bill in exhaustive detail but sure as sht there will be other tag ons that are objectionable which provoked a no vote. The galling factor is it isn't being reported from their perspective. What we see and hear are opinions about the no vote coming from the left. Why the fear of allowing an actual republican to explain why he voted no? Must be something very damaging and therefore we get silence from the left manipulated media. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

And if McCain had won and the Repubs were in power now, what would he have done? Cut taxes, less government and they still would have voted no on the UI extension because "the country can't afford it" mantra, especially after cutting taxes which means less money for the government to distribute. I'm sure the extra $400 given back to the individual or whatever it would have been that came from cutting taxes would go a long way for the unemployed.

But the very rich benefited more than everybody else. I suppose it justifies some poor little rich kid whose inherited millions from their parents right? What did they do to "earn" their inheritance?

Bush-Era Tax Cuts Have Exacerbated Income Gaps

Legislation enacted under the Bush Administration provided taxpayers with about $1.7 trillion in tax cuts through 2008. Because high-income households received by far the largest tax cuts — not only in dollar terms but also as a percentage of income — the tax cuts have increased the concentration of after-tax income at the top of the spectrum.

The CBO data do not provide a direct measure of the impact of these tax policy changes because they also reflect the effects of changes in household incomes and other factors that influence tax payments. However, estimates by the Urban Institute-Brookings Institution Tax Policy Center that consider only the impact of the tax policy changes demonstrate that the tax cuts have widened income inequality. As a direct result of the tax cuts enacted since 2001, the Tax Policy Center found that in 2007.

The very rich benefited by getting a larger percentage of the tax cut simply because they have more money and don't have a real need for the extra money unlike those who struggle to survive who really do need the extra money. Since you like to use the words wealth redistribution, Bush did just that but from the bottom to the top. That's what makes it unfair. Why should the majority support the top 1 or 2% of earners? Is it any wonder the media are all over Jon Kyl's assertion that UI must be paid for yet he wants to keep the Bush tax cuts forever. What's the betting future tax cuts initiated by the Repubs will do the same thing all over again?

So the inheritance tax is justified, right? Although there are people like NA who claim to have a trust fund (liar) and didn't earn it, it shouldn't license the wholesale looting of a person's holdings. Why shouldn't a person be able to pass on 100% of their life's work to their children? There is no logical sane argument for stealing from one person and handing it over to some sod picker.

And how did the 'very' rich benefit the most? What, are you going to argue actual dollars? Using the same approach we should bestow that much more in benefits for what was paid since more was taken. Sounds fair to me.

Again, your cut and paste is flawed. "The CBO data do not provide a direct measure of the impact of these tax policy ..." Now why is that? How can it be said there was such unfair gains without the facts to back it up? More liberal mamby pamby cry baby rantings of how unfair it is for one person having more than another.

Write one good argument that would shock the conscience of some hard working individual which convinces them it's the right thing to do regardless how it negatively impacts his own family. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

See, I have to agree on the inheritance tax issue with you, Dave. The money we will eventually leave our kids (if mine straighten themselves out ) has already been taxed. Why should they have to pay another tax on that money? How many times should our money be taxed? I sold some of my dad's coin collection this year and I'm sure I will have to pay additional taxes on it. Why? He already paid the taxes when he purchased it from the US Mint. Doesn't make sense to me. I can sort of understand why people try to cheat the IRS because some of the rules make no sense at all.

Brit, I can't believe how thick headed you are. The top 5% income earners pay over 90% of the taxes collected. The more you make the more they take. How in the hell can you say the top 1% is supported by the bottom. It's the other way around. And it's wrong! Do some real research and find out the truth. There are number of places where you can see dollar for dollar where it comes from, who pays, and who doesn't. Worse, who gets the ill gotten gains from robbing the productive class. Next, answer this question. Why is that done? I'ts not some moral issue because it is very immoral to steal.

Your first comment is so beyond ridiculous. They don't need it? Says who? Who has the right to say how much is enough? Is it 50k, 100k, 250, or a million a year? No on all counts. Enough is when you say it is. But never should it be because someone thinks it should be given to some moron. That is socialism, plain and simple. Socialism is evil in all it's forms and function. It destroys the individual and only benefits those in power.

No, No , No PUSC. You'll upset your new hosts with talk like that. You must sell everything and hand it over to the oabam machine otherwise you'll be labeled a heretic. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I wasn't in search of hosts when I said I would start voting Democrat, Dave. I know I don't agree with alot of their positions. I've already said that. But the Republicans have thoroughly disgusted me lately. It's not just how they tried to derail UI. Many other things. Plus, they are worse than telemarketers. They bombard you with phone calls, pleas for more money. I just said enough is enough. They had me for many years. It's time for a change. If my hosts, as you call them, don't respect that I can't walk the full party line, they'll still appreciate that I'm honest and willing to listen to new ideas and support candidates who are more in alignment with my way of thinking. No worries. I'm not going to become a Republican basher - lol.
