First time in history of US...

I was amazed to see the speed of processing at NVC...i think, they are leading first time the California Processing Center...my three cheers to NVC...

Does anyone know the reason behind the lack of speed at Calif. Processing Center....is it due to elections, or Gov. Republican roots or just sheer lack of awareness from the govt. side...

It all depends on what document you are referring to. There are no service centers that are slowest on all forms. Some are faster for some things than another. Each year it changes. You can't say one service center is faster than another - it is all specific to what document you are referring to and this changes from year-to-year.

What specific document are you referring to?

I am specifically talking of family based immigration cases including all I-129 and I-130 cases....

Vermont Service Center
K1/K2 - Jan 2k4
130 - April 2k4
H1B - Dec. 2k3

Calif. Service Center
K1/K2 - Jul 2003
130 - Feb 2k4
H1B - Dec. 2k3

I my opinion our gov. should remove all the waiting list associated with family based visa applications and ends the misery of loyal immigrant society

They should stop the lottery visa once and for all, and use that 55,000 visas for all pending cases. open two service center for this job,
and start like first A & B or go according to the filing dates this will be the fastest way to clear all backlog.

Even w/o stopping the lottery visa (that I do not want) they are able to reduce the backlog...only thing required is will from the govt.
