  • labor certification, please help me

Hi everyone, Im new to this forum. I have my labor certification approved but the thing is I left the country while this application was still pending, is that a problem? Right now Im about to send my i 140 application. My lawyer said no problem but i dont trust him because he is a little irresponsible, and I dont want to waist my money and time if is not worthed filing the i140 petition. I want to get a second opinion, please help me.

Your lawyer's advice is correct, in my opinion. Laborcert constitutes an "offer of employment" so your foreign travel is not a material fact that's detrimental to the application. Just do your best to maintain your nonimmigrant status in the US while the process is ongoing.

Your lawyer should process your paperwork and give you every detail of your case and immigration situation, right? You retained his/her legal services in exchange for your thousands of dollars for what?

I understand, I don't mind your seeking a second opinion on a public forum like this one about your situation. No, that's not the point. I said what I said above because you obviously don't understand on what specific stage your case is at now (in the whole process). When you said your lawyer told you "no problem" it's obvious that he/she didn't bother to explain to you further the reason behind this very short statement. That's why you're not confident. But anyway, I wish you all the best.
