The Paco saga continues. This storey is not new. Paco fought deportation for over 3 years. Paco was one of the 5% that succeeded in getting a verdict of "Cancellation of removal". Now Paco is a permanent resident of the USA. He lives with his 12 year old son who is a US citizen and the reason for the favorable verdict "cancellation of removal".The family owns their own home, work and pay taxes. The new ***p came in a letter from SS to wifes employer. Her ss number has matching problems. She has 90 days to get the discrepency straightened out.

What if any action will help in the persuit to keep the family together? Making the records with SS is probably not an option. If the family is separated by deportation what are we to expect to have to do to re-unite the family? The wife has worked in same job for 11 years, never been arrested and pays taxes. She is an well respected member of the community. There were no other notifications to her employer of any other SS match problems.

How is this criminal a well respected memeber of the community? She has never been arrested but she should have. What you are really asking is how can they get away with breaking the law. Cloaking this into a "keeping the family together" is a sarcastic sick joke. Before you start calling other people names, look in the mirror punk.

what do you mean that in 11 years there has been no notification?

Does the social sec number that she uses belong to someone else? if so, then the system does match name and number and will notitfy the employer of the mismatch.

There is no remedy for this. her employer will have to let here go if she cannot comply with the requirements to be employed there.

This has nothing to do with uscis.. and breaking up their family. she will have to seek employment elswhere and/or assume the identity of the soc sec number she is using to not generate the ss mismatch letter.

4now---There were no other employees at this business that were posted on the letter. Wife was only name in letter.Her name does not match the SS number on file.

jfrancus--yes, you are correct. the family can stay together by going to Mexico. The only problem is they have lived in this U.S.town since 1991, they are established, husband a permanent resident and has a good job,son a citizen and he knows only the U.S.,son has asema which is affected by stress and polution, and family can't live on Mexican wages.

Mexico has areas that are not poluted,they can also try living spain or south america,they have great economies,plenty of jobs and fresh air.

jfrancus---Let's be real. I'm probably upper middle class relative to the U.S. population and royalty compared to the world population and I couldn't afford what you have suggested an immigrant family do to stay together as a family. Go to Spain! How unrealistic.Are you really serious?
