anyone have any thoughts on how long it takes to have the I-485 petition adjudicated AFTER the background/Name Check is cleared?

You should inquire with USCIS about the status. Either by yourself or through the lawyer. How does the lawyer know name check was cleared. Did you get something in writing.

Attorney do not know if the name check is cleared, FBI will never give this info to him, It is departmental, then you will wait for your date to become current.
