  • I-130 passed INS deadline - now what?

This is what the case status online says:

<Your I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was received at this office on July 12, 2004. It is taking between 30 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.>

What should I do, just wait? Should I get an infopass? Is it any good to have your I-130 approved before your I-485 is approved?

It usually passes the deadline... don't worry, it will get done at some point in the near future. The USCIS will normally estimate how long it takes them to process the I-130, this is a standard schedule, which they normally end up failing to meet it's deadline. I went through the same thing couple of years ago, and had my I-130 approved within 3-6 months of the deadline.

      Good Luck
