  • Immigration Interview

    Hey guys,

I'm wondering if you guys know what I should do. I have an immgration interview (I-485 adjustment of status). I lost my passport over the weekend HOWEVER I have my I-94 and old and new I-20's and copies of all the pages of my passport. Is it imperative for me to rush to DC and get a new passport before the interview (it's in a week and a half) or do you think I can go with what I have? I have everything else they ask for, except the passport. Beautiful time to lose it don't you think?

It happens, nobody is accident-proof, so if you lost your passport don't panick.
    Just follow the steps.
Perhaps you will loose some time, your interview may be postponed but main thing - follow the steps and do what you have to do.

    Good luck,

    IE

Rely more on statistics - it may just reveal how lucky you are

I would suggest you get your passport immidiately. My approval was put off because I did not have my pasport on the day of interview.

You need your passport - so you can either find the one you have or get new emergency passport wich will only be valid for a short time. (Say a prayer to St. Anthony and ask him for help- he will help you find your passport. Laugh if you want but this does work. Say thank you when you find it!)

It might depends on your DO. I know a lot of people including myself who went to the interview w/o a passport. If you don't have your passport, all you have to do is to bring two pics and the officer will put the approval on an I-94 with your pic on it.

                    Good Luck,

                    Newly
