My question is, that my friend's priority date is 06/04/1993 unmarried son over 21, petitioned by his US parent. He sent his I-485 application along with the I-765, however the package came back saying that the priority date is not yet current attached to the package was a letter saying that the current FBAS PRIORIY Date FI for Mexico is 01APR93. Can he resend the package again? I checked the Visa bulletin for Jan F1 and it states 04/15/1993 MEXICO. Thanks for your assistance.

Hello. I don't have an asnwer for your question but a comment since I have a similar situation. Not sure how you started the process but this is what I did. When parent became citizen I notified National Visa Center (place where they adjudicate visas and have you on cue with priority date. I sent them the citizenship certificate along with a copy of letter stating priority date. I received an answer from them 2 weeks later saying that they changed category to F1 and that the petition is now available fro further processing. They also state that they will send a package soon. It all seems that they give you the okay for futher processing not you. Not sure if you waited for them to send you the info or if you send the I-1-485 without them telling you. Now the priority date is 02/04/1994 and as you say they are working on april of 1993 which means the priority date is not yet current. I haven't checked with a lawyer but will find out soon. If you have other responses. Let me know I'm we may benefit from the information we both get.Comment

Thank you, for your response, the package was sent back to my friend, (2) already. I will have them send it again, also I will have them send the Certificate of citizenship to National Visa. However I think my friend did that already. Thanks for your assistance.Comment
