I-140 Priority Date Carry-Over Question

Does anybody know if I can carry over the Priority Date from my previous employer? In other words, if my I-140/EB-3 gets approved with Priority Date of Oct 2004, can I use this Priority Date for my feature I-140/EB-2 application for another company?

I've seen this Priority Date Carry-Over policy, which means a person can file multiple I-140 and take advantage of earlier Priority Date. But it doesn't say if it works for the same employer or different employer.
