my husband hadhis interveiw in lebanon last week he was told congradulations...he did his oath and fingerprints....then they told him to come get the visa 2 days later then was told we will call you? they say his name is going through a specail clearence. Has anyone else been through this and how long does it take? thank you Ren

Definitely sounds like good news though if they told him congratualations...
Can you call the officer directly who he met with and ask his status? Maybe a phone call would clear up the confusion.Comment

thank you for the goodluck :-) no the embassy in Beirut no longer tskes phone calls only emails or faxes. I was just wondering if they told him he got the visa then why the name check and with this be quicker then most because they told him he got the visa? (they havent handed it to him yet)Comment
