  • Need help....please anyone..

    Hi, friends,
I passed my N-400 interview last week. Expecting oath letter in few weeks. By June I will be USC. I have my wife's I-130 pending since last April 2005 based on LPR. Once I become USC, what should I do ? File I-129F (Married) or her file will become current and if so, how long it will take approx. The reason I am worried is she is pregnant. I want her here when she gives birth to my first kid. You all probably know how important it is. Her due date is November 1st week.
Please give me some ideas what to do next ???

    Thanks a million in advance.

      Congrats Chichi

Upgrading a Petition - If You Were an LPR and Now are an American Citizen http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigra...ypes_1315.html

After that you can file I-129 for K-3 visa. How long will the process take? It depends on your location - USCIS Service Center and the consulate your wife will go through.

You can also wait until I-130 is approved, so your wife can get CR-1/IR-1 visa.

If your wife's due date is early November, she may not be allowed to fly after September. From where is she?

3 - 4 months (June - Sept) is not much time for the whole process of getting either visa. It usualy takes longer, but you never know...
