if you have ur green card for 3 yrs and been married for 3 yrs, you can, and you can apply 3 months before the 3rd yr.

If you gained your permanent residency via marriage to a US citizen, you can apply for citizenship after you have had your green card for 2 years and 9 months.

If you gained your permanent residency via any other method, you must wait 4 years and 9 months from the date on your card before filing.

one can apply for citizenship after 3 years if that person has been:
- married to USC for 3 years (and still together)
- resident for 3 years (no matter on what basis it was acquired)

Emmy, you will be eligible to apply for citizenship on your own (in 2 years) before the one based on marriage (in min 3 years).

So, no - marriage will not speed up your citizenship.
