Asylum filed by your parents not by You , and also withdrawn, you were benificiary of application. it will not have any impact on your application. If your application for AOS marriage based is approvable you should not be worried.

The adjustment process can take a while, sometimes up to a few years even in the best of circumstances. Most things are in your favor so don't worry too much. In my humble opinion, it'll turn out O.K. Good luck!

Actually no I havent contacted the 800 ph. But the officer said that they would contact me via mail thru within a month. My attorney said lets wait and see cus it relaly deppends on what the officer wants to do...She DID ask to see our wedding *** even after the 'fraud' fact was disclosed...My attroney did say that since I did have EADs which is an INS benefit, they could consider that as fraudly acquired and could try to get me on that...Just a speculation right now though...
**Thanks marmaduk and passerby....**

Hi Ron:
I don't think the asylum application is an issue. You were a child for all intents and purposes. Perhaps as Marmaduk points out, CIS is waiting on your background check to clear before sending your approval. Good luck!

Very doubtful IMHO. Even if they try to tie it to moral turpitude, you're not the one who's lying on the application, it was your parent.
My guess is they haven't finish with your FBI check yet, hence the delay. Have you try contacting the local office or the 1-800 number to see whats the status is?

I was 17 when the asylum was filed. However 2yrs later it was withdrwan since another petition filed by my moms brother was finally here...My parents got the GC based on my moms brothers petition ...The officer was aware that the asylum app that they had withdrawn was fraud. But since my mom asnwered the officers questions honestly and confirmed that it was a fraud app, they were approved. I turned 21 then and was kicked out unfortunately

How old where you when your parents filed for asylum?
You said that they are now LPR. Did they obtain the LPR through the asylum?
Why didn't you?

This is my 5th attempt guys. I really need some feedback. It has been 10days since my wife and I were interviewed for our marriage petition. She is a USC. I have an I-94 and entered as a visitor 10yrs ago. When I was a minor,my parents had submitted a fraudulent asylum app(filed by notary -blank signatures by my parents). My parents still got the green card despite this mess. The officer who intervied us on our marriage petition now knows about the asylum app. She still continued with our interview despite this and said it will be in 'further review'. Can anyone out there please share some honest thoughts..So far I have had 2-3 people respond but it would be helpful if someone in a similar situation can share ...Or anyone just share their views. This is probably a very unique situation. I hope I am not punished for something I never signed...I have no criminal records.I have filed taxes every year since I have been here.
Thank u all
