  • Any way to get elderly alien to US permanently

Citizen married Scottish alien in 1985. Alien got green card, but never naturalized. Couple has lived in Scotland for past 15 years, so green card may be gone. 3 grown us citizen children. Citizen and wife now want to come back to US to live. Problem: wife's (non-citizen's) father in late 80's can't be left alone in Scotland - unable to care for himself, no one there to take care of him. They have sufficient assets so that parent will not need health or other benefits. Ideas? Thank you.

Sorry to bring you a sad news but if her father doesn't have any other immediate (child, spouse) U.S. citizen relative he can not immigrate.

      Cheers.
