i am marrying my fiance from Australia in 2mnths. He will be living in NYC while I will be living in AZ for at least 12mnths. Is this going to be a problem for INS in regards to getting his U.S. citizenship? Is there anything we can do in advance to avoid delay because of this?

Hi Nicole,
the answer depends on circumstences, among other things:
1. immigr. status at the time of marriage
2. reason for living apart
INS may have the same questions as some of your friends and family: why are you getting married now if you wan't be able to live together?
If the relationship is genuine, start collecting the documents to support that.Comment
