This is the situation:
This is an 11-year old boy that entered the US with a B2 visa and has filed the I-485 under the Cuban Adjustment Act granted by being son of a Cuban national who is now a US permanent resident. Although the boy is not Cuban, he can adjust under the CAA for being a minor child of a Cuban and being in the US for 1 full year.
The issue now is that the child needs to travel abroad while his I-485 application is pending.
QUESTION IS: Does he need to file for an ADVANCE PAROLE or a REFUGEE TRAVEL DOCUMENT?
If RTD, the USCIS requires a document proving refugee status, and I'm not sure that's the case.
Please help!
Thanks in advance
