NPI Analysis: Abolish Affirmative Action

Repeal Executive Order 11246: "Unnecessary
burden of direct and indirect costs to taxpayers;
undercuts merit-based employment practices."
MCLEAN, VIRGINIA "” In a review of "affirmative action" policies,
researcher and statistician Edwin Rubenstein declares that a rollback
of race and gender preferences "may be one of the most
efficient pro-growth policies available to the federal government."
In an NPI Analysis paper entitled "Affirmative Action and
the Costs of ˜Diversity': Racial Preferences Thrive Under Bush
Administration" (#100; published by the National Policy Institute
and available at its website, WWW.NATIONALPOLICYINSTITUTE.ORG),
the author explains that affi rmative action programs:
"¢ put a cloud over minority workers who have
advanced because of their innate ability.
"¢ reduce incentives of both groups to perform at
their best"” the preferred because they don't have to,
the non-preferred because extra effort seems futile.
"¢ increase incentives to hire illegal immigrants who
cannot sue for alleged EEOC violations.
"¢ force employers to spend billions on compliance
instead of productive investments, thereby reducing
employment opportunities for all groups.
The author points out that raw political power is fueling the affirmative action agenda:
Reverse discrimination is the law of the land. To affirmative action ideologues, however, it's "pay back"
time, when white American males must atone for their alleged economic advantages"”even if they grew up
poor. "White males are the only growth area for the modern victim movement," says John Leo, a contributing
editor at U.S. News and World Report. "Everybody else is covered.'" In typical Washington style, a program
designed to aid ˜disadvantaged minorities' metastasizes into a near-universal entitlement. Is there a method to
this madness? You bet: By casting a wide affirmative action net the federal government has vastly increased
political support for such programs.

I am totally against "affirmative action" and always said so.

But, it seems to me, the "affirmative action" is so much part of people's mentality that they can't ever get rid of it, rather they change the 'colors of preference'.

For instance, ever since XIX century 'Affirmative Action" existed, only it favored "White-ASP" people at the cost of "Black" ('slaves'), "Irish" ('apes') and some other groups.

Then came along M.L. King and brought up a "genius" revolutionary idea to 'turn the tables' 180 degree instead of eliminating the cause of bigotry and prejudice that divides this Nation.

Result?

For about two dozen of years "Blacks" (minorities) were given 'carte blanche' and did to majority what majority did to them for two hundred years.

Obviously, it infuriated "Whites" and caused yet another 'turn table' , whereas "Whites" claim back their "lost to treacherous M.L King power".

It is no secret that today if you are tall , blond, blue-eyed girl working in competitive workplace, your chances to get a promotion will be 10 times higher than that of Hispanic looking, brown-eyed, black haired co-worker and 15 times higher that that of black skinned co-worker, even if Hispanic and Black worker is 10-15 times smarter and more productive than you.

The word 'you DISCRIMINATE against me' would send shivers under the skin of owners and managers just a decade ago , but today one CAN DISCRIMINATE AGAINST NON-WHITES and not anticipate any repercussions.
This is the 'mood' of our times.

So, "Affirmative Action" is still here, only now it disguises itself under the cloak of "Against Affirmative Action", but what it means is "We want affirmative action once again to favor Whites/Majorities ONLY and we want 'Blacks' and other minorities to once again know that they belong to toilet just like our **** does".

Well, these 'turn-table' tacktics will never work in the long run - it will only produce another M.L.King in 30-40 years from now, perhaps of Mexican descent this time (or of mixed, Mexican-Black descent), who will once again demand to turn tables around and then the whole cycle will start anew, with yet another 'Camp of the Saints' writer and john tantons screaming 'oh my, our civilization is being ruined by scum' and so on .......

Tons of energy and effort wasted in venomous attacks and hatred of each other , while it could be used to make the Nation stronger than ever and direct such power to competing with the rest of the World...

Considering the fact historically whites were preferred to be accepted in the best universities (Big ten for instance),

considering the fact that we currently practice the legacy admission (parents went to this university? Then you are automatically or have higher chance of being admitted to that university),
would you say that legacy admission is a preferntial treatment to white people?

In July, a white man won the Tour of France and was accused of taking steroid. The threat to him? He might loose his title.

During the same month, a black man sportif (not Barry Bond, I fortgot his name) was accused of taking steroid. The threat to him? I might never play again.

Recently President Bush met with NAACP. In his openning, he acknoledge that racism still exists in this country. But in his state of the union, after a long speech, the only thing he could say about black people was: there x% of people with Aids in USA and y% of them are black. And at the end of this sentence, he smiled.

You think affirmative action is benefical to minority? Open your eyes. How many lazy white faulks out there get their way everday just because of the color of their skin?

Do you know how corporations are filling their offices with minority people? Dont be fooled by the big words. It's strange how people who historically lynched families, killed without merci can nowadays claim that they are giving favor to the descendents of the same people.

Yes , I do.
All the clerical, toilet cleaning and entry level positions are full of minorities.

Dont be fooled by the big words.

It's strange how people who historically lynched families, killed without merci can nowadays claim that they are giving favor to the descendents of the same people.

This is an illogical statement.
Just because majority in past kept blacks in slavery doesn't mean that they can't claim credit for 'giving favor' to the same today, IF they indeed do so.

But the matter of fact is that 'days of favor to minorities' (Post M.L. King 'affirmative action' and 'welfare' years) are De Facto over.

And you know what? I see no problem with that.

However I see the problem with 'Affirmative Action' carrying on with all it's might (as ever), only with color of preference once again shifted to 'White'.

Will the world ever become a peaceful place with these people? I highly doubt. Go visit small villages without exposure to western civilisation. They have no war.

Where are those favors? Uh, forgot! Black people do not longuer have chains on them, is that what you call favor? Or wait! They get food stamp. Look at the distribution of food stamp users. Or wait: They can get social security benefit like us, so we are giving it to them as a favor. Yeah, they were supposed to work for white people for free.

I will tell you one think, without the sneaky behavior of white people, they can not survive on this planet. Look at all the aspects of life where the rules of the games are clear. White people perform the worst in those situation. They only way they can survive is to sneak: manipulation, gossip, deception, organized lies through the media or science, etc. I wonder how long it will take before this fake world scrumbles.

1. Hutus and the Tutsis:he Hutu arrived in the Great Lakes region around the 1st century, displacing the Twa. The Hutu dominated the area with a series of small kingdoms until the 15th century. At that time, it is believed that the Tutsi came into the area from Ethiopia and conquered the Hutu (although widely disputed).
2. China: China has 57 different ethnic groups which at one time or another were at war with each other. Emperor Qin Shi Huang conquered the seven warring kingdoms in the 2nd century BC long before the white man came.
3 Native Americans: Native American tribes such as the Commanch, the Apache, and the Arapaho were at were with each other during various times long before the white man settled in the New World. Of course, the Delaware, the Iriquis, the Mohak and many other native American tribes were at war for hunting rights long before the white man came.
4. Latin America: The Aztecs conquered many of the minor tribes (indigenous ethnic groups) while using many of the young men as sacrifices to the "Angry Gods." Spanish, who came to the New World for Gold, God, and Glory, were helped by the indigenous tribes only later to be conquered by the Spaniards in a form of colonialziation.

You are just as racists as the KKK, Neo-Nazis, and white supremecist groups and have no place in society today.

Actually 'white' in US South is not the same 'white' as in North-East of US, and US 'white' is not the same as British 'white', and British 'white' has much to distinguish/ to differ from Continental European 'white', particularly from French, Italian and Spanish 'white', but also from Protestant German 'white'; and then North Italian 'white' has different mentality/life style and even outlook that Southern Italian, and Sicilian differs from both; and character of Northern Frenchman 'white' is different from that of Southern Frenchman 'white'.

It's important that you think before you speak, kumna, and have a clear understanding of what you mean by 'white' .
And do you realize what do you imply when you suggest "I wish white people find a place on the moon and all of them go there and leave us in peace on earth"?

What is much needed is simple comprehension by certain (raging with anger) John Tanton type 'whites' in US that it's counterproductive and even self-destructive for them to play this 'turn the tables' game among US population; that US Nation will NOT gain anything by dividing and pitting one American against the other , that in the long run this will lead to endless 'turns of the table', with 'whites' some day risking to materialize their worst nightmares due to strong anti-minority sentiments that they spread in the first place.

Fighting or working for US interests abroad is an honor - it takes courage, bravery and high intelligence to succeed.
And above all it serves National Interests.

Eliminating 'Enemy Aliens' and 'Terrorists' withing US is duty. It's Constitutional, it's lawful (Title 50 in INA long before enactment of Patriot Act) and it serves National Security.

Oppressing US Residents, be it Majorities or Minorities, be it Whites, Mexicans, Blacks or Asians , be it through pro-majority or pro-minority 'affirmative actions' - is a shame !
It is UN-Constitutional.
It divides the Nation, it creates hostility and will NEVER serve National Interests.
