  • Sen. frist suggest enforcement-only will never pass the senate.

This is for my friend immortale tha have been suggesting that enforcement-only has a better chance of passing both houses this year or next year..Well it appeared that sen.frist doesnt think so, read below.
    -------------------------------
Because many Republicans and Democrats are under pressure from business interests that want access to labor, particularly in the agriculture, service and construction industries, it might be hard for Frist to garner the 60 votes he would need to prevent a filibuster of his bill.

Perhaps aware of that, he said earlier this month that he expected a guest-worker program to be part of the Senate's final legislation, but he emphasized that he was against an amnesty provision.

So to immortale, the senate will block any attempt of an immigration bill that does not contain some type of guest worker permit.

I think the only bill that has a chance of reaching the president's desk is indeed, the comprehensive bill because it has so much support behind it and it is picking up speed as we speak.

Sen frist seems to suggest that on the quote above, and he knows there's not enought support in the senate for enforcement-only if the democrats are all on board to fillubuster, and you better believe they are all united against enfocement-only when the leader steps out and says he will fillubuster such a bill.

The problem is tancredo can not make such a claim of fillubusting a guest worker bill because he does not have the authority to call for one, nor the vote to make it happen and i doubt the republican majority leader rep.bohener would allow him to work on a fillubuster because the leader of the republican party is pro-guest worker...Tancredo has only 70 members that will die for enforcement-only....im afraid he will need more then 70 members to attemp a fillubuster + the republican base will never let tancredo guide the party like this and be the face of their party...It would have been better if tancredo had full support of republicans, but he doesnt, he only have the support of about 1/4 of republican in the house.

Remember what i said..once the comprehensive bill passes the senate, then game is over..what i mean by that is, that the house members will be under enormous pressure to no derail & slow down the bill energy and speed, as it continues to speed up like a race car toward the president's desk.
