I am pending employment based I485. My case, along with family, was transferred to Local center for interview. We received request for evidence 3 months ago and we responded to that immediately. Now My wife and children received interview letters, which states, bring your sponser with you, (which is me, who is pending I485 based on employment) . However I have not received any such letter for myself for interview, neither did my attorney. Attorney have received copies of other interview letters. I contacted my attorny and he said, just go to the interview with your family. I dont know what to do? Interview is scheduled in seconfd week of May 2005. Please help. What should I do? What could be the problem? any suggestions please. I will appreciat it.
    Thanks

Just go with your attorney. He should be preparing you for the interview. Avoid going alone.

if i were you just go with the interview with your family and make sure you bring all the documents that they asked from the notice. make sure also that you photocopy all your documents being the principal immigrant. who knows they might interview you also. I just finished my interview yesterday in Honolulu being on an employment based visa also. everything went smoothly. my interviewer was so nice and warm and didn't even care to look for the originals that i brought. i went to my interview without a lawyer with me because he is based in Glendale, CA. the interviewer even commented me for being so organized that i even volunteered to tell her what papers should i need to submit. she approved me immediately after 15 minutes and i got my green card stamp in my passport. everything went smoothly with my prayers after 3 -1/2 years of waiting. i hope everything would be fine for you and prepare all the documents that your lawyer ask you to bring. hoping for your success and much aloha

          Thanks Queenrania and Maon.
Now my attorney says, they received my interview letter too, finally!
Queenrania, what kind of questions did they ask at the interview? and what papers did they need? For me, i have submitted all the papers they asked for on an 'request for evidence' letter few months before. I will really appreiate your reply.

My interview date is on a later date than my children and wife's interview date! Even though I am the primary sponsor on employment based I485,

hello again. Kindly bring all the original supporting documents that were submitted together with your application also for your children. Bring original passport (photocopy the first page), original 1-94, 2 pcs picture (latest one with frontal view) I have to bring this on my case since the previous ones I sent were the sideview, transcript of records, diploma, state ID or drivers license, 3 years personal income tax, latest pay slip, 3 years income tax of your company, professional license in your country if applicable ( my case I'm a CPA so I gave her a photocopy), employment letter stating your scope of work, rate, position and intent of your company to hire you, all approval notices from INS such as H1B, 1-140, EAD card. With regards to your question they will ask you about your position in the company, how long you have worked with them, brief background of your company, also about your scope of work, the place where you were born, birthday. The questions are just very simple just don't talk a lot just be brief and clear in your answers and also be very sincere and courteous. dress professionally maybe smart casual and be very organized especially when they asked you the documents. make sure you photocopy all the documents I mentioned above so your interviewer would be relieved of photocopying it for you. they would appreciate if you have everything is photocopied so they will just take it and file it in your folder. For me my interview is just for formality sake since when she told me that she will approve me immediately she just took a paper already with the approval statements in it underneath the file and she just already signed it and hand me a copy. As long as your I-140 is already approved you shouldn't worry about it. everything is just for formality sake and just be very humble in your answers and while your interviewer is scanning your file give him time to review and don't talk him out into any other topics unless he asked you. okey. I'm just flabbergasted whey they interview your dependents first. they should have interviewed you being the principal applicant. Anyway just bring your file during your children's interview because I have a feeling they might asked some documents from you especially the approval of your I-140.

Thank God! This case has been approved today. I went for this interview with my family on May 12th 2005( Although, my appointment was supposed to be on May 23rd 2005). They interviewed all of us together and stamped the passports. I will post the details of the interview later.
