OK - well my first recommendation would be to consult an immigration attorney and go from there.
However, for your interview, going in with the attitude of "I'm gonna get denied" will likely cause it to come true. LOL
Keep positive and good luck!

Unless you have a legitimate reason to be concerned that your application will be denied, then don't worry about it, Decent. Just go in, be open and honest and most of all, be yourself.
If you do get denied, then as JC said, consult an attorney and go from there.
Good luck!

I'm that guy who sees the glass half-full. So, I'm gonna take my pessimism one step further and ask you the following general question: assuming I get denied will any immigration lawyer be able to handle the appeal case?
I think you need to rethink your "half-full / half-empty" analogy. I do not think it means what you think it means. LOL
No. You will want to do some research with the BBB or whatever monitoring agencies are in your area. You do not want to end up with some lawyer who is solely interested in taking your money (and yes, we all know they're out there). Do some homework and make sure you get a knowledgeable attorney.

I'm sorry maybe my question wasn't clear. I was asking whether the immigration lawyer needs to be specializing in certain area of immigration law, such as criminal justice.
More than 5 years ago I was unfairly and unjustly arrested for domestic violance and accordingly the case was dismissed. So for the appeal case, does the immigration lawyer need to be specializing in criminal justice or will any other Cood immigration lawyer do? THX.
Thanks for the reply davdah but!
The law says 5 years after getting the green card, no felony conviction, a person gets naturalized. Correct me if I'm wrong.
