I was grated Asylum in 2004 and 2008 my green card was sent in the mail for me . When should I be applying for my Citizen ship ?

a) Is it after five years after I was granted an Asylum status ?
b) Five years after my Green card was received in 2008 ?

You can apply 4 years and 9 months from the date of receiving your permanent residence.

Additional I have live and work in my states for atleast 10yrs prior to asylum status... any idea if this can play a role in filing earlier..

No. Mrs. Mani gave you the right information. You can file 4 years, 9 months from the issue date on your green card. Good luck.
