my husband is out of status an his visa and we recently maried 1 month ago ,we have not started the AOS and we are faced with a problem.We would like to move into an apartament and we both need credit checks ,we both have SSN and ID cards the diferece is tha i`m US citizen and he is not yet.Can we indure any problems with INS or DHS when they do credit and background checks?

Do you have credit? There should be no problems with credit checks and USCIS. If you have credit, you have a job and are legal. He probably won't show up and that is ok too. His visa is none of your landlord's business. You can also rent an apartment on your own, in your own name. Just make sure there is no clause about "company"Comment
