when a person call the 1-800 customer service number to change his address on a pending case by gevin them the case receipt number, Does the USCIS sent the applicant a notice to confirm that his address had been changed? how long it take to receive that confirmation notice?

From what I can see, Depika, you don't get a confirmation notice when calling the 1-800 number.

The only way to really be sure is probably to call them back and ask to verify your address change.

Sending a letter via certified mail at least gives you some assurance that it was received at the USCIS, but isn't really any help as to confirming whether the new details have been entered in to your file.

Make sure you have the mail from your previous residence forwarded until you know for sure.

I think you may need to send AR-11 to USCIS for change of address officially. It also depends on the type of case that is currently pending with USCIS.

I would be helpful if you can provide more information regarding the nature of the pending case to provide appropriate suggestion.

            Thanks
