Yes, but only if you are here on B1/B2, not visa waiver. You must file I-539- include evidence of why you need extension.

And do it before your status expires. You can also go to the nearest Deferred Inspection Office of CBP to get Satisfactory Departure, 30 additional days in the U.S.
