  • What Steps should I take to get in....

Hello, I am looking to immigrate to the U.S. I live in Canada and have met a fabulous lady in Houston area. I do not have a relative in the states and right now we do not want to get a Fiancee visa, what are my options?

We dont want you in our country. Go back to where you came from. We don't want your children either. Go back to your country and make it worth living in. WE DON"T WANT YOU IN THE US

Yeah, there sure are some real winners on this site. Whenever I see posts from poeple like Joe and a few others, names I don't even need to mention...I picture the American flag on the porch, shotgun in hand. Pathetic.

Manut, are you a Canadian citizen? If so,and depending on certain specifics, you should have no problem spending up to 6 months in Houston or wherever in the US. However, you technically cannot enter the US with any intent to immigrate, unless you have supporting documents to do so. It would not be wise to enter the US and tell an officer your plans to move to be with your woman.

Go in as a visitor for vacational purposes, and see how the relationship goes. Drawbacks are, though, that you can't work during this time so you would need to be financially prepared.

Hello Canadian23, thank you for your response, this will help me. I am a permanent resident of Canada, I have a british passport but have been here for 32 years since i was thirteen. I am going down for a month to see how things go. Thank you again for the border advice.
