    Yes, you will need to have those translated into English. My husband went to the embassy in Cairo and even though they could read them, the documents get placed in his file which will make its way back to the USA, so go ahead and get them translated.

    Here's a stupid question, do I need english translations if the documents are in the native language that the US Embassy is in? For example, my husband's birth certificate, military record and police certificate are all in arabic and they require copies, should we have english translations as well?

    Anyone ever deal with the Embassy in Cairo?
