I-130 FBI Background checks wait time

Filed I-130 petition during February 2006. Had interview in July 2006 - but paperwork had wife's first name misspelled. We tried to correct before FBI background check but to no avail. All other prior government issued paperwork had 1st name spelled correctly.

How long does it take to re-do a FBI background check for an I-130 petition which is currently in the Missouri Service Center. Waiting 10 months is pretty sad. What are our options?

it depends some have taken years, mine took 3 months from begining to end. I think i was one of the lucky ones. If u have time make an info pass appt and go and talk to them.
