  • Proof of entry

Just a thought. My passport has expired and I need to get it renewed, but I'm scared to send it off incase it gets lost. It has my proof of entry in it. Would it be wise to get it notorized or something???

Remove (or photocopy) the I-94, and copy the entire passport, including the pages with your entry stamps. The I-94 is the most important part, but having a copy of the whole thing never hurt anyone.

You can also send the passport "registered mail" as well. This way the postal service tracks it at each step of the route and can determine where it got mislaid, in the event it would.
The above is simply an opinion. Your mileage may vary. For immigration issues, please consult an immigration attorney.

errr. I-94 is missing!! Is this a big problem? I seem to remember putting it safe somewhere. I'll have to get digging around!
