  • Processing time going from TN to H1b

    Hello folks,

I am a Canadian dentist doing specialty training in NYC. My current TN expires 6.25.05, and I want to change my status to H1b both for convenience of less frequent renewals and I will be trying for Employment based GC application soon.

My question is how long can I expect my H1b processing to take? I will file to the Vermont procession center, which according to listed processing times, is processing petitions submitted on 1.22.05 (as of 2.23.05). My petition is not subject to the H1b cap as I work for a non-profit hosptial/univeristy.

You may expect the Vermont Service Center to take about 6-8 weeks to process H-1 Change of status petition.
