NJ is a terrible place to work and an even worse place to live. Call the Trenton office It used to be that all non immigrants had to go to a Regional Center of the NJ DMV to have their license processed.
While this is no longer the case I advise you to try to apply for your extension trhough the Trenton Regional Center office as they seem to have the most people with immigration aptitude.
There are 49 other states in this country ALL of which are better places to live than NJ

I am married .
I have applied for the naturalization process meaning I-130 and I-485 and have completed the initial interview.
I have had 2 info pass appointments where I have been told I cannot get a temporary EAD because of my pending biometrics appointment not having come through and they cannot schedule one from that office.I have been asked to write to the INS to seek an appointment with no response from them so far.

you are facing problem because NJ recently started Point systems. NJ License was degalised last year so all renewal has to be done with Legal proof. there is a megnetic strip included behind the NJ license.
Take your Immigration applied papers with you And ask them to give you temp License for Three months. DMV will enquire in front of you and then give you three months License If they get confirmation from Immigration and once you get EAD , you will be renewed till its expiration date.

Elsa,
I thought about this last night and decided to do some research. I do not know if NJ motor vehicles dept/commission would accept this but here goes a possible solution. When you go to renew your driver's license, provide your passport with a I-94 as the primary documentation. I do not know if you are married but you can present your marriage certicficate as secondary proof. For more info, here is the website that has all the info:
http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/cit_licen..._renewals.html
I would stronly recommend you also bring you application to renw your work authorization card and if you can, get the temporary EAD stamp. I would also call USCIS customer service and request an appointment for your biometrics and that you job is in danger of being lost. When you go to the support site, bring all the information about your EAD renewal and copies of your letters asking your case status.
Finally, contact both your senators and congressman at this web site:

Three is a process which you can request a temporary EAD. Go get another infopass apptointment and specifically ask for that temporary card. That way, you can bring both your expired card and your temporary EAD and get your driver's license removed.

NJ is the worst state to live if you are not a bureaucrat and/or immune to the inane processes that they create.
Do you have a current non immigrant status? How did you enter the U.S.? They are apparently asking for your EAD as there is nothing else that has been provided to them as proof of your current status..Do you have an advance parole you can show them? It sounds weird but it makes as much sense as showing them an EAD.

You are right ....
I am talking about NJ only ...the State of New Jersey.....
How can one renew one's driver license once the EAD has expired?
Is it my fault that the biometrics appointment is not scheduled ?
I sent in the application for renewal well in time as asked by the INS.
I have been to 2 info pass appointments and nobody can help me there at the Cherry Hill office or Newark office either.
My attorney has sent in 2 letters of inquiry.
I have made several telephone calls with no response at all from the INS.

Wow, I have never heard of a DMV asking for an EAD to renew a drivers license. That is like the POE officer asking to see your library card.
Anyway, I think you spoke to the wrong person at the DMV. Find someone else and don't mention anything to this person about the EAD. I bet you told them about the EAD and without even knowing what it was they used it as an excuse to tell you no.
Never give a bureaucrat a reason to say no...they just can't resist.

If you are working for an employer and want to continue with the same employer, the receipt notice for the EAD extension should suffice for 90 days after the expiration date of the old EAD.
THat being said, I would not advise you to start work for a NEW employer without the new EAD.
The drivers license renewal may or may not be a problem based on the state you live in. I know in NJ it is a nightmare to get the license renewed without an approval notice of some kind. Check your states DMV web site for more information.

On meeting with the Supervisor during the Infopass appointment it was discovered that my I-765 renewal application has been approved.
However, since my biometrics had not be done again and no date has been set up , they cannot issue me an interim EAD.
The situation is that I have to write to the INS about this situation and then hopefully get a biometrics appointment scheduled. Meanwhile , I have written 2 letters to the INS through my attorney with negative response/reply from the INS.
Time is flying by and the Driver license office is not going to renew my license unless my EAD is renewed. Period.

I have three conditions :
1.
my driver license is expiring next month.
2.
my work authorisation has expired .
3.
my biometrics appointment has not been scheduled as of yet.
Applications for renewal of my work permit I-765 on the basis of my petition for I-130 family based petition was sent in time well before the due date.
The letter of appointment for biometrics in order to renew my EAD has not yet been issued.
Several calls have been made to the INS office.
Several telephone inquiries have been made.
No response from the office so far.
Info pass appointments have been made and I have talked to the representatives with no furhter information.
Letters have been written to the INS without any reply whatsoever.
It is past 90 days beyond the work permit expiry date.
Please advise what action can be taken?
