This will also be a second interview as I had to file a waiver on the first one. Does a second interview come quicker? It took 1 yearand 5 months to approve a j-1 waiver and after being called back for a second interview I just wonder why if the first went well.

                Irish,

I also had the Dallas office. I got my fingerprints done in February of 2003 and went for my interview December 5th, 2003. So it went about 9 months or so....
                Hope this helps out

Irish, when was your FP date? I was FP'd on 3/20/04 and still waiting. Dallas office too.

Seemed they were a bit faster late last year. I FP'd in September and received an interview appt letter in October for a late November interview. Unfortunately I had to be out of town at that time so asked to reschedule. They did take care of the first part of the reschedule and hence the FP in March. But looks like it's slow again.

                      Hi everybody,

Judging from what I just read in this thread, it doesn't seem normal that I had my finger printing done in March 2003 and still waiting for any kind of news that my case has moved on? The online status still shows the info on my finger printing...

Mine is an employment based application and my husband and I filed jointly under my employment.

                      WAC03086*****

Can anyone shed some light? I have heard that it happens quite often that the interview is waived. Could this be why I haven't heard anything yet? ...wishful thinking...

BTW, my application was sent to the CA service center.

                      Thanks for your input.

                      Catherine

What I heard is that employment based AOS takes only about 6months now, that is, if it's filed recently. Seems CIS is doing the last in first out trick again. This way, the stats would show that a certain % of cases is processed in a short period of time, which looks good to Congress. But older cases like yours and mine are taking even longer.

                          Thanks for your reply Patient.

I thought the 2003 cases where the ones who may be processed faster...from the discussions I've read on various forums.

I don;t know what to think now! That would really **** if that's how they're doing it!

                          Thanks,

                          Catherine

                          PS: When was yours filed?
