Expected time after submitting i-751

Hi there,

How long is the average expected time of getting interview or hearing back from USCIS regarding acceptance/deportation - after submitting i-751? I've heard it takes one year - does that mean that I am granted another year in the USA before decision is made?

What happens if divorce occurs during that period? After submitting joint petition.

here's my time line(vermont service center):
conditional green card issued: november 26th, 2003
I751 sent to VSC: september 12th, 2005
Approval note received without interview: march 29th, 2006
Scheduled appointment(thru infopass) to get plastic green card issued: april 27th, 2006(the letter said that the card will be mailed within 6 months)

our case was fairly straight-forward. no divorce, no kids etc....

If the parties are divorced while a joint petition is pending, the alien should replace the joint I751 with a waiver. AOs cannot, according to the regulations, adjudicate a joint petition if the parties are no longer married.
