  • Relative visiting US

I am a Legal Permanent Resident. My son is going to visit me soon, and I am wondering whether there is any form that he needs to fill out to convince the immigration officer that this a visit and not an attempt to stay in the US for longer.

It's not immigration, but the State Department which issues visas. Your son will need to show strong ties to his homeland (job, property, bank accounts, etc.) and even then may get denied if there are a lot of overstays from there.

If he has already got the visa ...keep all the documents as AliBA said before in handbag as they might stop him at the port of entry and ask him to prove non-immigrant intent...coz visa does not guarantee entry in USA... Good luck...Pasha
