  • I-485 Processing, Marriage for Unmarried child over 21 of Citizen

    Hi,
I had applied for my GC as US citizen's child over 21. My priority date came and I have applied for change of visa status I-485, which is under processing. Now If I get married how can i sponsor my wife.
Will I loose my I-485, as I got the visa number as a child of unmarried US citizen, if i get married before the I-485 processing goes through.
What is the best way to go about this.
    Thanks

If you get married, you will downgrade to F3 category(married son/daughter of USC). you need to visit the state department bulletin cut-off date to match your your priority date. If both F1 and F3 are current, you are ok to get married, otherwise you have to wait priority date to be current under F3 if you get married.

Thanks for the reply. So if I get married to someone right now, and the girl is in USA, Do i loose my current EAD and advanced parole. I am not sure what would be the right way to go.
        Thanks
