Chief Justice William Rehnquist has died. He was 80, and has been battling Thyroid cancer. Therefore we have two vacancies at the court, which will allow in my opinion both Democrats and Republicans to compromise.

How and when did we compromise? Did we compromise with the British over taxes? NO Did we compromise with the South over slavery? NO Did we compromise with Japan over attacking Pearl Harbor? NO ! Americans do not and should not compromise with murderers, rapists, terrorists and Democrats !Comment

One good thing regarding the process of Naturalization, is that we get tested in the history of our wonderful nation. The compromises I was insinuating to were those we witnessed during the constitutional convention of 1787, such as the Great Compromise, which called for a two-house legislature where in the lower house, the states would be represented on the basis of population; and in the upper house, the states would be represented with two members apiece. Also the three-fifth compromise where the states' population would be counted including slaves counted as three-fifths of a free person.
These are the political compromises which created the most powerful country to ever exist on the face of this Earth. Now I agree with you Sir that nobody should compromise with killers, terrorists and criminals. I am a hard-liner when it comes to crime. And although I am not a Democrat, I think that Democrats are Americans as well and hold the well-being of this nation dear to their heart. We should never let a difference in opinion break our friendships nor respect to each other.
