Do you really have to ask that question? There's one underlying cause for illegal immigrations. Some called it pursuing the allmighty $$$, while others called it the pursuit of happiness/american dreams, take your pick. One thing for sure, no matter what its called, it doesn't give anyone the right to break the law.

If you want to examine the underlying social issues and wtheck is wrong with this society such that a child-rapist can be declared innocent and merely send to a hospital to be "evaluated", well, I just don't think you'll find that answer on this board.

If thats the case, then tell me, why should we send thief, robbers, drug dealers and other criminals to jails? All they want is to get some cash to pursue their happiness.

There's a difference of being tempted to do something and actually performing the crime. Thats why we called them criminal instead of would-be criminals....

That doesn't mean criminals shouldn't be punished for breaking the law. Same with illegals. That what separates us from animals, we knows whats right and wrong is, and we can be hold responsible for our own action.
What you did is simply giving them just another excuse to perform criminal acts and shift the blame somewhere else.
