  • I'm new here, and need your help!

Hi, to all of you. My life is being quiet adventurous, but i didn't expect it that way. Well, to begin, i'll tell where i am right now; in Canada. But firstly I imigrated to the US on b-1/2 visa, to work illegaly. Had the job arranged as busboy in NYC. This was in 1999. Overstayed the 6 months. Found a good job with fake papers as busser in a country club till the section 245-i and I convinced my boss to file a job offer, spent a $1,000 and then, as almost everyone else, had to wait. That's when everything turned dark for all of us: September 11!! That was the tragedy! to make things worse, i was fired in Jan/2002.I had a NY Driver's License, so i could find several jobs afterwards, but i couldn't keep them for lack of confidence being illegal and, most of the times doing silly mistakes that in the US no one can do. So I kept changing low end jobs, and thriving to survive. Sometimes I had part timers, overnight, delivery or catering jobs. I consider myself a jack of all LOW trades. I even worked for a milionaire as a private driver for his cancer ill father and him too. I got that job at monster.com. It was only 2 months when his secretary found out that i was "still" illegal in the country. I began to feel a real imigrant, to be hopeless and sad, but being in NY and to have the chance to start over somehow is at the other side of the coin. And that makes us stay and stick with the dream of a better and honest life. Come back isn't the way out. We know how it's in our countries: money doesn't come as easy as in the US or here in Canada, we get paid monthly, we ge stuck for years doing the same thing without the dream of owning a house or a car, even worse it's to see many other people around us in much more poverty, with no chance, but still smiling under their faith and hard work. Now's a turn point: after 4 months working in NJ as apprentice installing hardwood floorings making 50 dollars a day, I saved 900 dollars and decided to head down South: Florida, beginning of 2004. New life, no Winter anymore. Found a job as waiter and needed new white shirts. And ent to buy them at a famous bargain store. Bought two and stupidly took the third into the bag, was caught and they called the cops because there were more people to be arrested waiting in the security room. Nobody was in fact, but the cop set up court date for me in March/2004. I went alone and the judge gave me a hard time, and sent me to the probation officer, i went tothe meeting where there was ten more other people. At that time I already had a comfortable room, a job, and a cheap but running car. The officer asked for my docs, I showed her my expired passport with the ten years american visa, and my D.L. she took copies and said that i had to come back to see the judge again. And there I went again, at this time I hired a nice lawyer, she charged me 400 and I pleaded no contest. Now I knew the chances to be legal cut down by zero. So, in despair with D.L. expiring Istarted a bogus immigration process so I could get a protocol from the ins and get a Floridaslicense. I did , everybody still does, I guess..and two more years with the right of driving a car in the US, relief! and at the same time sad because of the petty theft. A year later I met this girl from Canada and I decided to come over here with she driving . At the border I didn't want to cross but I took a deep breath after she persuaded me to try. I did and the guard just asked if she was canadian and if she had buyings in her car. After twoo quick and obvious answers we were at the Quebec side heading to Ontario. Piece of cake. Right now I don't want to make the same mistakes as before. So I ask your opinion: what's the best way to get legal over here. I don't want to live off the canadian welfare I already found a job for me under the table as a painter. What i need is good advices in how to do the right thing in getting to work and live legally. I'll marry her, she's been very nice with me, I'm happy now, and i'm saving money for the application fees. But i still have the bug of the United States Florida is very beautiful, warm and tempting, easy living, no matter how many Hurrycanes pass by... Does anybody think that marrying this girl is my best bet? The US could still be an alternative for me?any ideas in how to be shorter in my nest letter? Thnaks and God blees you all!

Go home. Don't torture the poor girl and Canada does not need you any more than the US. Besides, in Canada, it is very difficult to get a real job without citizenship. And you have mad a sham of the American system. People like you make it hard for others who are trying to get in the front door. Drop your sense of entitilement. Go backto whereever you are from and start again.

Hello ladies, I've noticed that someone12 is quiet active in this board...you must be one of those minute men (cow). Or what you are trying is just get anger out of your chest for some reason. Could be for fun, but you aren't funny at all, could it be revenge? may be! you're a little bitter, could it be boredom in your life? nothing to do? or where to go?i'm not sure, because as an young man I try to be as far as possible and to know as less as possible what stinky fat ladies like you do or say. I don't give a d a m n to you and your non sense words about how your country is deteriorating with imigrants. You have a distorted view of the people that come over here. I never took your taxes, instead i had paid them and never saw the money anymore. I worked hard, still do, I'm willing to pay for my mistakes, but what the ****? if the judge with all his authority, let me go with my life, if the sietem let us come in and go onm with our lives, why the hell you have the guts to judge others? because you're american? big s h i t!! you're not welcomed in almost anywhere in the world, not americans like you, nacionalists, arrogants, aggressively hostile. The protection you have is in your country, because outside it, not even the troops would stop some people to butcher you up.

Meekas, the bottom line is that by crossing the border into Canada you became inadmissible for 10 years. In other words there's no legal way for you to return to the U.S. for 10 years. Trying to do so illegally might make you inadmissible for life.

                Cheers.

Should've asked for Voluntary Departure if you going to move to Canada anyways. Now just like sup said, your chances of coming back to US legally is pretty much zero.

Hola, someone12.You really have nerves,eh? All this hostility that comes from your words are really frightening. But it's too late because you already know my history and I don't kow yours...well, what if you told us a little bit about yourself? I'd like to know, for example, why a so complex and literate individual like you respond to us, better off, battle with us, instead going to your bathroom and have a bubble bath. It will be good to your wrinkly skin and your wired hair.Let me know the details later. Also, if you are so fascinated with *** change of the people from this site you should try it yourself, you might have a last shot with your congressman if he's into women with schlongs.

meekas, I hate arrogant illegal little s h i t s like you. You give your fellow illegals a bad name and you only make it harder on those immigrants who come to the USA the legal way.

I'm not an arrogant, Paddy, I'm just defending myself against someone12 who thinks that she is above all in this site. And for your information, you should understand that nobody that came to the US to work has a bad name. YOU, piece of c r a p, accuse us for no reason. This country has been built with the immigrants laborers from all over the world, YOU narrow minded individuals, in the other hand, know only is sit on your own fat A$$E$ criticizing what is called the new order of the world, where the poor people is right on your step door waiting for response, wiling to work and not to be exploited by YOU, dus chbags. You keep watching CNN every day waiting from some response from the congress and you'll get feces in your food from flooded areas like Louisianna, or may be, while you are watching tv, your daughters or sons are being raped by some lunatic psichopath that comes from your very own american society. You know what? I'm sick ofyou saying: I'm american citizen and i've been in a war...who wants to be in a war???for God's sake? Ask those soldiers in Irak. They see dead bodies every day, they have to kill dogs because they eat the human carcasses. Nobody in America think of the inocent irakees that were killed in this war, and you too d a mn you, getting your paychecks every week from your government to spend it luxuriously, probably mistreating waitstaff in restaurants, while your kids are in clubs doing drugs, having s e x younger, getting drunk and killing people in traffic accidents. Is this the type of society that you want to build in other countries, I would say no thanks, but by imposition, umilateral action, the Us steals the oil, change the rules of international commerce, polute the world, don't sign the Kioto Treaty, massacred all your own indigenous people, slaved the black people, produced enough nuclear nukes to shut all the holes in your bodies, financed arms and weaponry in every little conflict in the world. All of that to be the powerful in the world? too bad that now you have to deal, for real, with foreigners like me. And the chinese, japanese, the great Arabic people, the hard worker Mexicans and Latin Americans that are majority in Florida, at least, Spanish language you hear everywhere. Mamacitas, go cry your tears and admit that your golden age is gone.Pathetics!!

Anyone else find it ironic Meekas first asked whether it is possible to go back and live in the good ole USA before proceeding to throw a slew of curse and foul-mouthed language at it?

There're unimaginably large number of people who would jump on the 1st opportunity to immigrate to USA. I'm sure we could find several millions that will better fit the country needs than someone like Meekas.
