B1 to H1B

I landed in US on the sept 1st on a multiple entry B1 work visa for companly A. My I94 is valid till nov 30.

Now company B has filed a H1B petition for me and have started the premium processing.

My question is can my original company stop this process in anyway as they want me to report back to the home country.

And will I have any problems when I go for visa stamping to my home country later (say a year later) or can I do the stamping in Canada/Mexico.

Your original company can't stop/revoked a H1-B visa thats filed by another company.

Couple of more queries..

I have done my MS in US, passed in 2002. Went back to my home country, and now am on B1 for 3 months. Another company has started my premium processing. My questions are

1. How long does it take to get the receipt and the subsequent approval.

2. Can I go to Mexico/Canada to do a stamping of the H1 visa once I get the approval or do I need to go to homecountry?

3. If I do it in home country do any one of you forsee any problems (like the officer saying I went on B1 to get H1).

4. How soon shd I get my stamping done? Is there any time limit (this is my first H1)
