If you had the chance to use a company attorney to process a N-400 application, would you?
One view is, using an attorney may look like you're trying to hid something.

I would. Using an attorney does not mean you are trying to hide anything. Is he going to charge you?

Problem is - those patients go off their medication when they are relesed.

Assuming the company attorny is a non-taxable fringe benefit to you (that means you do not pay for the services), then I would use him/her to go over the detailed process of filing the N-400. At least, you will know what is needed, what is expected, and hopefully not forget anything to delay the process.

JulyC- i feel your pain, and if your husband is truly sorry about what he did, i would also like him to rejoin you, but,US immigration law would most likely ban him from ever re entering the country legally.

My best suggestion i would give you is, to try to immigrate to Canada, throught their work test migration system that they have, then once you get all canadian benefits which might take a couple years, apply for your husband...since you dont want to move to el salvador because you might not find jobs and living condition might be very unconfortable, canada is the closest thing to the united states.

jean2005: news flash -- no matter how many times JulieC's husband says "Gosh, I'm sorry I killed that guy.." it won't bring that person back to life...so, why do we need convicted killers in the US? And Canada won't want him either....maybe Mars or Jupiter would be a good place for him to go.
