I filed N-400 based on a 5 year residency. I am getting absolutely confused. Was I supposed to mail tax returns with the application? My interview letter is not asking about tax returns. So I am wondering how they checked.

What is this in regards to? What did you file, etc? That will make a difference.

Does anybody know how immigration gets info whether you owe taxes or have failed to file a tax return. An IRS representative told me that they don't give any information to third parties including immigration if the third party doesn't have a power of attorney.
    Thanks.
