  • I-864 form question

Hi, I am an american citizen recently got married to a New Zealander in september, I am filing form I-864. I only have a 1099 form for the year 2003. I was unemployed for 3 years going to school. So I never filed for income tax for the other two years. But I am currently working making 44K a year and it is only me and my husband that I am supporting. Would I still need a co-sponsor because the I only have one 1099 form for the year 2003? which the income was below the poverty level for that tax year. Or will they consider the income I am currently earning now? Your help is appreciated..
