If you are gonna bang on about the Constitution, then many things you do in everyday life are not guaranteed by it. It doesn't say you have the right to eat at McD's, drive your V8 gas-guzzler or post that 44c letter.

The Constitution was written after a bloody revolutionary war more than 200yrs ago. It's outdated. Just like the Immigration laws are. I'm sure the Founding Fathers never meant it to be set in stone. It should reflect the reality of the age and move with the times while keeping the same basic ideals intact.

I agree with you, Brit, that the young people, the kids that were brought here not of their own free will and at a young age are the ones to suffer the most and that the system doesn't allow much in the way of recourse for them. It's tough to figure out where to draw the line and find the middle ground, but that draws us away from the health care debate and in to immigration reform. LOL.

Davdah, what about me? I grew up with NHS and have been quite vocal about the experiences I had. I would never idealize it because it's not ideal, however, I'm not dead, so obviously it has some advantages. LOL. I'm just not convinced it would work in a country the size of the US.
